Absolutely no experience is required! Our "Beginner Foundations" course is specifically designed for absolute newcomers. We start with the very basics: how to hold needles and yarn, casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. You'll complete your first simple project with confidence. We provide all initial starter materials.
Most students in our beginner course can confidently knit a simple scarf or washcloth within 4-6 weeks (typically 4-6 hours of instruction plus practice time). Our goal is to get you creating tangible results quickly and joyfully!
For many beginner courses, we provide a starter kit for your first project. After that, we'll guide you on selecting the best yarns and tools for subsequent projects, often with special discounts at our partner local yarn shops. We believe in getting the right tools for your success.
Our offerings vary to fit diverse schedules. We have one-off 2-hour workshops, 4-week introductory courses (2 hours/week), and longer 8-week comprehensive courses. Private lessons offer maximum flexibility. Check our course schedule for specific timings.
